nJoy Cadu 1500

nJoy Cadu 1500
The nJoy Cadu 1500 UPS is a line-interactive UPS that provides reliable protection for computer setups and other sensitive electronics. With an apparent power of 1500VA and a real power of 900W, it can handle even demanding workstations. The integrated automatic voltage regulation (AVR) actively stabilises fluctuations in the mains supply without switching to the battery, which extends its service life. At half load, it powers connected devices for 6 minutes. The clear LCD display shows all essential operating statuses, from the current mode to the load. Microprocessor control for high reliability is the basis for stable operation and a fast response to changes in the power supply.
Key features of the nJoy Cadu 1500 UPS
- Line-interactive topology with automatic voltage regulation (AVR)
- Clear LCD display for monitoring the current status of the device
- Provides data network (RJ-45) and telephone line (RJ-11) protection
- Allows for a cold start from the battery without a mains connection
- Automatically restarts when power is restored
- Microprocessor control ensures reliable operation
- Offers four backed-up Schuko output sockets
- HID USB communication interface for management
Power and voltage stabilisation
This UPS is based on a line-interactive topology, which actively corrects the input voltage in the range of 176 to 280VAC using the Boost and Buck AVR function. This protects the connected electronics from undervoltage and overvoltage without having to draw power from the battery. The unit supplies an apparent power of 1500VA and a real power of 900W. The output voltage in battery mode is a simulated sine wave, which is compatible with most modern switched-mode power supplies in computers. Switching to battery power typically takes 2 to 6 milliseconds, so fast that connected devices will not experience any outage. The power factor reaches 0.6 at nominal voltage and full load.
Battery and operation
Inside, it contains a pair of GP09122F batteries, which recharge from full discharge to optimal capacity in approximately 4 hours. The off-mode charging function replenishes power even when the UPS is switched off but connected to the mains. The backup time depends on the current load: at 25% load (225W), it keeps devices running for 27 minutes, while at 50% load (450W), it's 6 minutes. The cold start function allows you to start the UPS without a mains connection and power appliances directly from the batteries, which is useful during prolonged outages. A visual and audible alarm indicates when the battery needs to be replaced.
Protection and management
In addition to power protection, the nJoy Cadu 1500 UPS includes circuitry against undervoltage, overvoltage, complete discharge and overcharging of the battery. The clear LCD display informs you of all key statuses, such as standby mode, overload mode or fault mode. An automatic restart after AC power is restored returns the UPS to standard operation without the need for manual intervention. With dimensions of 205 × 146 × 390mm and a weight of 11.1kg, the UPS is designed to be placed on the floor. Its operating noise level does not exceed 45dB.
Connectivity and sockets
To power connected devices, the nJoy Cadu 1500 UPS offers four Schuko sockets. All sockets provide full battery backup and surge protection. It also includes data and telephone network protection via RJ-45 and RJ-11 ports. These ports support a transfer speed of 1Gb/s, so they do not limit the performance of a modern gigabit network and prevent damage to network cards or modems from voltage spikes. For easy management, there is an HID USB communication port, which the operating system automatically recognises without the need to install specific drivers. For more advanced settings, the manufacturer offers ViewPower software.
