MikroTik R11e-5HacD

MikroTik R11e-5HacD
The MikroTik R11 network card serves as an expansion wireless module for integration into compatible motherboards and network elements. This miniPCIe component adds support for wireless transmissions in the 5GHz band to your hardware. The device meets demanding operational requirements for both outdoor and indoor use and is ideal for building high-speed wireless links and access points in professional installations. It holds FCC and IC certifications, confirming its compliance with international standards for radio equipment. The module uses WiFi 5 technology and supports 802.11a/n/ac standards. Thanks to its dual-chain configuration and integrated QCA9882 chip, it achieves transfer speeds of up to 867Mb/s in the 5GHz band, enabling efficient data transmission. It ensures a stable wireless connection even when transferring large volumes of data in demanding networks. Two MMCX connectors are available for connecting external antennas.
Key features of the MikroTik R11e-5HacD network card
- Supports the fast WiFi 5 standard for wireless transmissions
- Transfer speed in the 5GHz band reaches 867Mb/s
- Integrated LED indicators show signal strength and transmission activity
- Stable functionality in a temperature range from -40°C to 70°C
- Low power consumption of just 4W

Diagnostic features and hardware compatibility
Built-in LED indicators located directly on the card show the current wireless mode and connection status. These LEDs visually signal network scanning, active connection, TX/RX activity, and the precise strength of the received wireless signal directly on the board. This system simplifies the physical aiming of antennas and speeds up diagnostics directly at the installation site. The card uses the standard miniPCIe interface for connection and is compatible with selected RouterBOARD models. It works seamlessly with the RB953, RB912, RB922, and RB800 models. The module can also be installed in x86 devices running the RouterOS operating system, which expands its deployment options across various types of network infrastructure and software platforms. The internal architecture also includes 4KB of flash memory.
Operating characteristics
The card's design demonstrates high resistance to environmental factors, as evidenced by its MTBF value of approximately 100000 hours at 25°C. The tested ambient temperature for stable operation covers a range from -40°C to 70°C without risk of failure. This makes the card suitable for installation in both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned outdoor cabinets exposed to harsh climatic conditions. Despite its high transmission power, the card maintains energy-efficient operation when powered via the bus. Power consumption is a mere 4W, which reduces heat radiation inside the cabinet and lowers the power supply requirements for the entire network element.
