The Atari CX78+ wireless gamepad is used to control games on retro consoles and personal computers. Wireless connection to gaming devices works via the included DB9 and USB-A interface adapters. The controller is a faithful replica of the original two-button hardware that was sold in Europe for the Atari 7800 gaming system. The controls consist of a directional D-Pad with a removable stick and a total of 6 buttons. The built-in battery is charged using the supplied USB-C cable, but a mains power adapter is not included in the package.

Wireless connection
The controller communicates with devices wirelessly using two different receivers. The DB9 adapter facilitates connection with Atari 2600+ and 7800+ consoles, as well as the original legacy Atari 2600 and 7800 systems. The included wireless adapter with a USB-A connector is used for connecting to a computer. This system eliminates the need for a direct cable connection while playing.
Optional directional control method
The directional controller offers two setup methods for in-game movement. You can use the standard D-Pad or screw in the included control stick. The removable joystick changes the grip style and adapts the response to your individual requirements. Changing the gaming mode doesn't require any extra tools.
