The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 150-600mm f/5.6-8.0 R LM OIS WR lens for Fujifilm X-mount digital mirrorless cameras is designed for APS-C sensors and offers an extreme focal length range equivalent to 225 to 900mm in 35mm format. The super telephoto lens is designed for nature, wildlife and sports photography and features exceptional range while maintaining a relatively portable design. It covers the widest focal range of any Fujifilm lens and is compatible with the XF 1.4× and XF 2× teleconverters, which can achieve focal lengths up to 1828mm. The lens features optical stabilisation, fast and silent autofocus, dust and moisture resistant construction, manual aperture ring and 82mm filter thread.

The lens consists of 24 elements in 17 groups, including four Super ED elements and three ED elements, which strictly control and suppress axial chromatic aberration typical of super telephoto lenses and provide excellent resolution across the entire image area and zoom range. The HT-EBC surface treatment, which is typically used on broadcast lenses, was applied to all elements to achieve high transmittance and low reflectance over a wide wavelength band. Thanks to the coating, glare and ghosting are reduced and high edge-to-edge transmittance is achieved. The fluorine coating of the front member prevents water, grease, dirt, smudges and also makes it easier to clean.

The lens uses the Inner Focus system, where a linear motor drives a compact and lightweight group of lenses, which is used for sharpening, which ensures fast, silent and precise autofocus, which is capable of focusing in just 0.25 seconds In addition, the internal zoom and AF design preserves overall lens length and balance, making it easy to use on tripods as well as handheld shooting.
The XF150-600mm F5.6-8 R LM OIS WR lens features a high-precision sensing and control system that offers optical image stabilization performance of up to 5 exposure steps (as measured by CIPA). Effective stabilisation is one of the strongest for super telephoto lenses (you can use as little as 1/30 sec, even at longer focal lengths), making it easier than ever to create sharp images handheld or in low light.

In addition to the classic focus, zoom and aperture control rings, there are focus limiter, auto iris and focus lock switches on the lens body, including four buttons on the front. It can be used to lock the current focus (AF-L), reset the preset focus position (Preset), or trigger focus (AF) instead of the button on the camera body. Focus Preset is a special feature found on some Fujinon lenses. It allows photographers to quickly and easily change the focus to a preset position, which is ideal in situations where you can predict the position of the subject or want to quickly return to a saved focus point. The (Set) button below the focus lock switch is used to store this current focus distance.
The lens body is made of magnesium alloy for light weight and high durability. At 1,605g, it is approximately 20% lighter than other lenses with a similar focal length range. The tube is sealed in 19 places, the lens is weatherproof, protected from moisture, dust and temperatures down to -10 °C.
