Wi-Fi connectivity and speed
This access point fully utilises Wi-Fi 6 technology to achieve high wireless capacity and speed on both operating bands. The device works with 802.11ax, 802.11ac, 802.11n, 802.11b and 802.11a standards, ensuring full backwards compatibility with older client stations. The wireless part uses a 3×3 MU-MIMO antenna configuration in the 5GHz band and 2×2 MU-MIMO in the 2.4GHz band to optimise simultaneous data transmissions to multiple users at once. Speeds reach 2400Mbps in the 5GHz band, while the 2.4GHz band provides a transfer speed of up to 575Mbps.
Smart Mesh and coverage
Integrated Smart Mesh technology lets you easily link multiple access points wirelessly without needing to install additional Ethernet cabling to each one. This system effectively extends signal coverage to more remote rooms and eliminates dead zones in buildings. The device supports fast roaming according to 802.11r/k/v standards, which ensures a smooth handover of client devices between individual nodes as you move around. A special design with three antennas for the 5GHz band significantly strengthens signal stability over longer distances.
Security and data protection
Wireless traffic security is provided by the modern WPA3 Personal encryption standard, which complements the older WPA and WPA2 protocols to ensure compatibility with all types of devices. The network administrator can configure up to 16 separate SSIDs, which allows for strict segregation of traffic for employees, guests, or IoT devices. Advanced access control features are available, including L2-isolation, MAC address filtering, and rogue AP detection. The device supports secure network protocols, including IPv6 for modern network addressing.
Connector equipment
Physical connectivity is provided by a single Ethernet port supporting 1× 2.5 LAN speeds, which eliminates any speed limits when transferring data to a switch or router. This port also serves to power the access point using the PoE+ 802.3at standard with a power consumption of 20.5W. Alternatively, you can use the supplied external adapter with a DC +12V 2A output for power.
