YALE smart garage opener
YALE smart garage opener
The Yale Smart Gate Drive is used for remote control of garage doors. The device is installed on the existing automation system. Integrated Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless technologies connect the drive to the Yale Home mobile app. Users can grant access codes or virtual keys to other people. The system sends instant notifications about the status of the garage door directly to the paired mobile phone. It is powered directly from the mains.

- The device is permanently powered from the mains
- The package contains installation material for drilling and adhesion
- The system is fully compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa

Remote access
Users connect the drive to their home network via the integrated Wi-Fi. This gives them the ability to control their garage door from anywhere with an internet connection. The Yale Home app keeps a history of access and activity. The app displays the current open or closed status of the garage door and allows you to check it remotely. This gives the user an overview of access and activity with no additional fees.
Automatic opening
The system uses proximity detection to automatically open the garage door when you return home. The driver doesn't have to look for a remote control or mobile phone while driving. The auto-open feature responds to the proximity of the paired mobile phone to the garage. After the user leaves, the system automatically closes the garage door again. Closing after departure helps protect cars, lawnmowers or power tools stored inside the garage.
Virtual key management
The owner can share access rights with family members, friends or service providers. The app offers the option of setting time-limited codes or permanent virtual keys. Users manage access rights for individual guests directly on their mobile phone. The administrator can revoke access immediately at any time. This method replaces physical keys and classic remote controls.
Smart home integration
The device works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Users can control the garage door with simple voice commands. Voice assistants make it easier to control during other household activities. Thanks to the integrated Wi-Fi connection, the system does not require an additional hub. Other compatible Yale products can also be managed via the Yale Home app.
Unified entry control
The Yale Home app brings together the control of multiple access points in one place. The same code works for the garage, driveway gate and front door fitted with a compatible lock. A single interface simplifies the daily management of all access points to the property. Users don't have to switch between different apps. Access is revoked for all entrances at the same time.
Installation and power
Users install the compact 50 × 50 × 32mm device onto existing garage door openers. The package includes installation material, including mounting tape and additional cables. The device requires a permanent power supply from the mains to ensure continuous operation. The wireless Bluetooth connection is used for communication between the Smart Opener and its accessories. The system uses BLE, AES and TLS encryption to secure communications.
