The TP-Link VIGI network recorder is used to store, manage and monitor camera footage from connected security cameras continuously. This NVR-type device centralises the management of your surveillance system and ensures smooth transmission and recording of high-resolution video. Eight integrated PoE+ ports (802.3af/at) simplify the network infrastructure setup by powering connected cameras directly via Ethernet cables, eliminating the need for additional power adapters. The device supports HDMI video output at a resolution of 3840×2160, delivering a sharp, highly detailed picture. Its decoding capacity allows for processing up to two channels at 8MP, four channels at 4MP, or eight channels at 2MP at 25 frames per second. Users can watch footage from up to eight cameras simultaneously and use 8-channel simultaneous playback to easily review recorded events.

PoE+ and efficient video compression
PoE+ technology transmits both data and power through a single RJ-45 cable to each camera. This system eliminates the need to install separate power adapters at individual camera points. The recorder's total power budget is 113W, with each port providing up to 30W for stable operation of the connected equipment. The modern H.265+ compression format significantly reduces storage capacity and network bandwidth requirements. This technology compresses video without degrading the final image quality, which saves on operating costs. The recorder also supports H.265, H.264+, and H.264 formats, increasing its compatibility with camera systems.
Easy installation and video recording
ONVIF standard support enables the seamless connection of cameras from different manufacturers into a single functional unit. Additionally, the Plug & Play feature automatically adds new and unused VIGI IP cameras to the new recorder and activates them immediately, significantly speeding up the entire system installation. The recorder supports the installation of a SATA hard drive with a capacity of up to 10TB for continuous 24/7 recording. The system securely stores saved data and enables quick and convenient searching. Users have various recording modes available, including manual start, scheduled recording, or recording based on motion detection.
Remote access and two-way audio
System management is handled via the VIGI mobile app, a web user interface, or the VIGI Security Manager software. Integrated two-way audio allows for real-time voice communication with people near the cameras. Detection features support the recognition of motion, area intrusion, people, and vehicles. The system also triggers an alarm in case of video signal loss or video tampering detection.
