TP-Link EAP725-Outdoor, Omada
TP-Link EAP725-Outdoor, Omada
The TP-Link EAP725-Outdoor with Omada WiFi access point extends your wireless network with the Wi-Fi 7 standard and is designed for outdoor use with high demands on performance and reliability. This outdoor Wi-Fi 7 access point operates in two bands with a combined transfer speed of up to 3570Mbps. Its key feature is the software-switchable antennas, which let you choose between omnidirectional coverage for wide areas and directional coverage for targeted, long-distance connections. The IP66-rated design with 6kV surge protection withstands adverse weather conditions. Integration into the Omada SDN platform provides centralised cloud management, monitoring, and advanced network features, including Omada Mesh technology and seamless roaming for a stable connection.

High performance with Wi-Fi 7
The access point works with the 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7) standard and uses two frequency bands for a combined speed of up to 3570Mbps. This speed consists of 688Mbps in the 2.4GHz band and 2882Mbps in the 5GHz band. To optimise data transfer and increase network efficiency in high-density client environments, it uses OFDMA technology and 4 streams. MU-MIMO and Beamforming improve communication with multiple devices simultaneously and efficiently direct the signal to specific clients for higher throughput and connection stability.
Flexible coverage and Omada Mesh
The device features switchable antennas that adapt to specific coverage requirements. In omnidirectional mode, it covers an area of up to 300m², while directional mode extends coverage up to 510m². Omada Mesh technology links multiple units into a single unified network with a single name (SSID). Seamless roaming, compliant with 802.11k/v/r standards, ensures a smooth transition for clients between access points without connection drops. It also allows you to create up to 16 separate SSIDs to segment the network and separate traffic.
Centralised management and security
The device is managed via the Omada Software Defined Networking (SDN) platform, which provides centralised monitoring through cloud, hardware, or software controllers. The platform supports Zero-Touch Provisioning for simplified deployment across multiple locations. Network security is ensured by modern protocols including WPA-Personal, WPA-Enterprise, WPA2-Personal, WPA2-Enterprise, WPA3-Personal, WPA3-Enterprise, and OWE. Omada SDN consolidates network management into a single interface and includes features such as access control, client isolation, and rogue access point detection.
Durability and easy installation
The access point is designed for year-round outdoor operation, confirmed by its durable IP66-certified casing for dust and water resistance. 6kV surge protection shields the device from surge damage. The operating temperature ranges from -30°C to 70°C. It uses a single 2.5G Ethernet port for network connection, which also supplies power via the 802.3at PoE+ standard. Power over Ethernet simplifies installation by transferring both data and power over a single cable, making pole or wall mounting easier.
