It has an IP65 certification, which guarantees it is completely dust-tight and resistant to splashing water from any direction. An operating temperature range of -30°C to 60°C ensures stable functionality in both frost and summer heat. Versatile mounting options support installation flexibility – the unit can be placed on a table, mounted on a wall, or attached to a pole. Power is supplied either by the included AC adapter or via Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology, which transmits both data and power through a single Ethernet cable, simplifying installation in hard-to-reach places.

The Deco X50-Outdoor works as part of an intelligent mesh system for your garden and entire home. TP-Link Mesh and AI-Driven Mesh technologies ensure that all Deco units work together to create a single, unified network with one name (SSID). It creates a unified network with seamless roaming, covering an area of up to 230m². Your devices automatically and seamlessly connect to the unit with the strongest signal as you move between indoors and outdoors. This guarantees truly seamless roaming without signal dropouts during video calls or streaming. The system is fully compatible with all other Deco units, allowing for easy future expansion of coverage.
WiFi system security and management
The TP-Link Deco X50-Outdoor WiFi system’s network security is ensured by support for WPA, WPA2, WPA2-Enterprise, and WPA3 encryption. The integrated SPI firewall protects against unauthorised access. Set up and manage your network exceptionally intuitively with the Deco mobile app. In a few simple steps, you can configure the entire network and gain access to advanced features. The integrated TP-Link HomeShield security suite protects the network from cyber threats with a network scanner, real-time IoT device protection, and malicious site blocking. It also includes robust parental controls for managing online time and filtering content. For maximum convenience, the system supports voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, letting you manage your network with simple voice commands.
Connectivity options
The TP-Link Deco X50-Outdoor WiFi system's connectivity is provided by two Gigabit WAN/LAN Ethernet ports that support Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology. This solution provides power and a data connection through a single cable. The system can be powered either via PoE (IEEE 802.3at standard) or using the included AC adapter.
