The Past Does Not Forgive

A thriller where every clue leads to a shocking discovery

One cold March evening, a skeleton is found by the roadside near the Norwegian border. How long have the remains been waiting to be discovered? Is this a cold case, or the still-raw loss of a loved one? The Karlstad police begin searching for those who have vanished without a trace.

Investigator Hedvig Lilja once again relies on her intuition, experience, and stubbornness. With the help of her colleagues Inger, Samir, and Kalle, she begins to unravel what at first seems to be a decades-old case. With each new clue uncovered, they get closer to an unpleasant truth that will mark the present far more significantly than it first appeared.

This standalone sequel to the thriller Where the Truth Is Hidden takes the reader back to the land of forests, lakes, and chilling stories set in western Sweden.
