The SONOFF Orb Socket Matter Over Wi-Fi European Smart Wall Socket turns ordinary appliances into part of your smart home. The WS01TPE-E model from the Fusion Series supports the Matter protocol over Wi-Fi, so you can connect it to popular platforms like eWeLink, Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home, Home Assistant, or Samsung SmartThings. The socket allows for convenient remote control, voice commands, smart scene creation, scheduling, and energy consumption monitoring. With overload protection, overcharge protection, a child lock, a flame-retardant casing, and a long relay lifespan, it's designed for safe and reliable everyday use.

The SONOFF Orb Socket is a smart wall socket that allows you to control connected appliances conveniently from an app, with your voice, or through automations. You can easily switch on and off lights, small home appliances, chargers, or other compatible devices. Its elegant design fits into any modern home, and its built-in solution looks cleaner than conventional external smart plugs.

Thanks to Matter over Wi-Fi support, the socket can be integrated into various smart home ecosystems. It supports eWeLink, Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home, Home Assistant, and Samsung SmartThings, so you are not tied to a single app or manufacturer. A compatible Matter hub is required for integration into a Matter ecosystem.

The socket is also ready for the Apple ecosystem and supports control via Apple Home. This means you can use it with your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or the Siri voice assistant. Simply connect it to your compatible home, and you can then switch connected appliances on or off, or include them in scenes and automations.

The SONOFF Orb Socket supports voice control via compatible platforms and smart speakers. You can switch connected devices on or off with a simple voice command, for example, when leaving a room, watching TV in the evening, or preparing your home for the night. This feature is available through the corresponding third-party services.

The socket allows you to monitor the energy consumption of connected appliances and helps you better understand their running costs. In the app, you can check current and historical consumption, compare data from different periods, and more easily identify devices that are using more energy than you expect. This feature is useful, for example, for kitchen appliances, chargers, heaters, or other home electronics.

Integrated overload protection helps to protect both the connected appliances and the socket itself. You can set a current or power limit in the app, and the socket will switch off if it is exceeded. According to the specifications, the maximum current is set to 16A by default, and the socket supports a maximum resistive load of 4,000W.

The overcharge protection feature is particularly practical when charging phones, tablets, or other electronics. If the charging power drops below a set value for a certain period, the socket can automatically cut the power. This helps to reduce unnecessary energy consumption and is gentler on the batteries of your connected devices.

The SONOFF Orb Socket allows you to set various types of schedules according to your needs. Automated scheduling is useful, for example, for switching off a kettle or a lamp at a specific time. You can use cyclical scheduling for devices that need to be switched on and off regularly, for example, at repeated intervals. Random scheduling helps simulate your presence at home by switching lights on at irregular times.

You can incorporate the socket into smart scenes that react to the status of a connected appliance. For example, as shown in the specifications, you can monitor a kettle and receive a notification on your phone when it has finished boiling. This gives you a better overview of what is happening at home and allows you to create automations based on consumption or power changes.

The LAN Control feature enables local control on your home network without relying on a remote server. If your phone and the socket are on the same network, control can be handled locally through your router. This makes the response faster and ensures control can remain available even if your internet connection or a cloud service is temporarily down.

The socket is designed with a focus on safety and long-term reliability. According to the specifications, it offers a flame-retardant casing, surge protection, a child lock, overload protection, a long relay lifespan tested for 20,000 cycles, and durability verified by a salt spray test. It is also CE and RoHS certified.

The device can be paired in two ways – via the eWeLink app or by scanning the Matter code with a Matter-compatible app. It is designed for installation in an 86-Type mounting box or a European round mounting box with a diameter of 60mm. L, N, and earth terminals are provided for wiring, and the front of the socket features an On/Off button and a Wi-Fi LED indicator.

The WS01TPE-E model is designed for the European Type-E socket. According to the specifications, it is compatible with Type E plugs as well as Type F & E compatible CEE 7/7 plugs. This makes it suitable for common household appliances used in European socket systems.
