PremiumCord Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 optical fiber cable 8K/60Hz, gold plated 25m

The PremiumCord optical cable with HDMI 2.1 interface is used to connect two video devices over longer distances. Thanks to its hybrid construction combining optical fibres and copper conductors, it transmits the signal without any loss of quality. It supports resolutions up to 8K at 60Hz and a data rate of 48Gbps. With a length of 25 metres, it is suitable for connecting projectors, televisions or game consoles in larger installations where standard cables are not long enough.

Signal transmission without compromise

This active optical cable is designed for reliable transmission of an HDMI signal over a distance of up to 25 metres, where passive copper cables would suffer from image and sound degradation. It uses hybrid technology that combines four optical fibres for high-speed data transmission with copper conductors for power and control signals like CEC or EDID. The signal is converted into light pulses at the input, which are then converted back to HDMI format by electronics at the end of the cable, ensuring maximum quality without interference.

Durable and flexible design

The cable is designed with an emphasis on mechanical durability and easy installation. The outer braiding of ballistic nylon protects the inner conductors from damage, abrasion and breakage. Despite its durable braiding, it remains flexible with a minimum bend radius of 20mm, making it easy to run around corners or behind furniture. The connectors are protected by metal caps and their contacts are gold-plated to ensure a reliable connection and protection against corrosion. A cable diameter of just 5mm lets you pull it through even narrower spaces.

Support for modern video and audio formats

With full support for the HDMI 2.1 standard, the cable transmits video and audio in the highest available quality. It supports HDR, VRR and ALLM technologies, which you'll appreciate when watching films and playing games. HDR (High Dynamic Range) provides a wider range of colours and contrast. VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) synchronise the picture with your game console for smooth, tear-free motion. The enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) enables the transmission of uncompressed audio formats, such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, from your TV to a soundbar or AV receiver.
