The Noctua NH-P1 CPU cooler has been designed from the ground up for completely fanless, passive operation. The design uses six heatpipes and specially designed aluminium fins that are thicker and more widely spaced than on standard models. This design minimises air resistance and optimises natural convection heat flow, allowing for the effective cooling of modern processors in well-ventilated cases. The absence of moving parts guarantees completely silent operation, eliminates dust build-up inside the fins, and ensures maximum reliability with no risk of mechanical failure.

Quality craftsmanship and performance boost option
Long-term cooling performance stability is ensured by soldering the fins to the heatpipes, which prevents the joints from loosening due to the thermal expansion of copper and aluminium over years of operation. Although the model is primarily passive, it offers the flexibility to install an additional 120mm fan. This solution is ideal for semi-passive builds, where the fan only activates during short bursts of high processor load, significantly increasing the heat dissipation capacity. The package also includes a tube of high-performance NT-H2 thermal paste for optimal heat transfer between the processor and the cooler's base.
Compatibility and mounting system
The heatsink's asymmetrical layout is designed so that in its standard orientation, it does not interfere with the top PCIe x16 slot on most µATX and ATX motherboards. The design also ensures 100% compatibility with RAM modules and does not block slots on Intel LGA1700, LGA1200 or AMD AM4 and AM5 sockets. Installation is handled by the SecuFirm2+ mounting system with a Torx interface, which excels with its secure pressure and easy handling. The cooler supports a wide range of sockets, specifically AMD (AM2 to AM5, FM1, FM2+) and Intel (1150, 1151, 1155, 1156, 1200, 1700, 1851, 2011, 2011-3, 2066).
