nJoy Aster 1K

The nJoy Aster 1K UPS with online double-conversion technology delivers continuous, clean power for servers, network components and other sensitive electronics. It provides a real power output of 900W with an apparent power of 1000VA. The high output power factor of 0.9 meets the demands of modern IT equipment with active power factor correction (APFC). This online UPS continuously generates a pure sine wave at its output, protecting connected equipment from all mains power anomalies. In its energy-saving ECO mode, it operates with up to 97% efficiency, actively reducing running costs and heat loss. The convertible design supports installation in a 2U rack or as a standalone vertical Tower, offering flexibility for deployment in various environments. The nJoy Aster 1K UPS forms a reliable foundation for protecting critical business infrastructure.

Topology and performance

The online double-conversion topology (VFI – Voltage and Frequency Independent) continuously regenerates the input voltage. This process completely isolates connected devices from all mains power problems, such as outages, undervoltage, overvoltage or frequency instability. The wide input voltage range of 80–300VAC handles even large fluctuations without unnecessarily switching to battery, thus preserving its lifespan. When power is restored, the unit automatically restarts and recharges the batteries, maintaining continuous operation without manual intervention. Generator compatibility expands deployment options in locations with an unstable electricity supply.

Battery and runtime

At a half load of 450W, the internal batteries keep connected devices running for approximately 10 minutes, providing enough time for a safe shutdown of operations. The unit contains three GP07122L batteries, which are easy for the user to replace thanks to the Easy Battery Replacement system. For applications requiring significantly longer runtime, it offers the option to connect an optional external battery module. Integrated deep discharge protection and intelligent automatic recharging extend battery life. Additionally, the cold start function allows the UPS to start and power the load directly from the batteries, even without an AC mains input.

Management, monitoring and connectivity

The clear, multi-function LCD provides instant information on operating conditions, such as input and output voltage, load level, battery status and active mode. The SNMP slot allows for the installation of an optional network card, which integrates the UPS into remote monitoring systems. The EPO (Emergency Power Off) port is used for an immediate emergency shutdown of the UPS in case of danger. Management software is also included. Eight fully backed-up IEC-320 C13 output sockets are available for connecting the load. For advanced management and monitoring, it includes RS232, HID USB, and an SNMP slot.
