Neuropsychology is a relatively young field that primarily studies the relationship between the brain and behaviour. Our leading expert provides a concise introduction to the fundamental questions that neuropsychology explores, using an accessible level of technical terminology. The book presents current methods for studying the nervous system and the latest findings on the neurobiological basis of individual psychological functions (from perception to memory, language, emotions, and consciousness). It also focuses on disorders of these functions, neuropsychological diagnostic and rehabilitation procedures, and neuropsychotherapy. The book concludes with an overview of some theories about brain function and the possibilities for their application in clinical practice.
