The NETGEAR Powerline AV2 AC650 PLW1000 WiFi extender expands your internet connection to signal-free areas using your home's existing electrical wiring. The device supports 802.11n and 802.11ac wireless network standards in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, referred to as WiFi 5. Under typical conditions, the wireless signal covers an area of up to 500m².

You can activate encryption for the entire network by pressing a single Push-and-Secure button, located directly on the adapter's plastic body. This feature activates security for communication between individual adapters in the electrical wiring, preventing eavesdropping or the connection of foreign devices to the home network without the owner's knowledge.
Dual-band operation
The wireless part of this device transmits a signal on two frequency bands simultaneously, according to the dual-band specification. The 2.4GHz frequency band is intended for less demanding activities. Signal transmission is handled by two detachable external antennas, which broadcast the 802.11ac standard signal in all directions within the given space.
