The second potentiometer on the MACKIE CR5BT speakers is used to adjust the volume, and the Desktop/Bookshelf mode switch on the back allows you to influence the internal optimisation for near-field or far-field listening. When you want some peace and quiet at night, or when you don't want to be disturbed by your surroundings, you can use the headphone output.
Wide Connectivity Options
The MACKIE CR5BT speakers are always sold in pairs, with one of the monitors serving as the master, containing the controls and the amplifier, and the other connected with the included speaker cable. The monitors have balanced TRS inputs, unbalanced RCA inputs and a stereo input for quick connection to a phone or laptop. You also have the option to connect your device wirelessly via Bluetooth.
System Type
An active speaker is one that has a built-in amplifier, and to listen, you just need to connect it to a sound source, either wired or wirelessly.Passive speakers are more often referred to as speaker systems. They are intended more for high-quality, loud, and dynamic listening in the comfort of your home and are not suitable for frequent transport. The main advantage of passive speakers is the ability to connect a variety of sources through a separate amplifier.
Number of Channels
The number of channels in speaker systems and home cinemas indicates the number of independent audio signals (speakers) and subwoofers, most often in an X.Y format (e.g., 2.0, 5.1). It indicates how many audio tracks are reproduced simultaneously, which determines the spatial experience and bass depth of the system, from basic stereo sound (2.0) to surround sound (5.1 and above).Specifications
