Love, chaos and alpaca

Chaotic, tattooed Chess wants just one thing out of life: to rescue animals and give them a new home in her own kennel. Just as her dream is about to become a reality, her brother Peter disappears. This is completely out of character for him, because Peter – unlike Chess – is the family darling, who is also due to get married in four weeks. Without a moment's hesitation, Chess sets off in her old VW van to find her brother. She is joined on the road by her dog Mango and Ross, an alpaca with behavioural issues who suffers from separation anxiety and likes to let out piercing screams.
As if the van wasn't already full enough, the search party is joined by Matthew Brady, Peter's best friend. He's a slick, career-focused lawyer who wears a suit all day and thinks he knows everything! But if there's one person Chess doesn't want with her, it's him. Not only is he a sarcastic, city-slicking idiot, but he's also part of a past she's not exactly proud of. As they search for Peter, the two are soon at each other's throats – but the sparks are also flying between them.
Before long, Chess is no longer sure: does she want to strangle Matt, or would she rather kiss him? And what was Matt's own motive for joining this trip? Is he really concerned about Peter, or is he trying to lead Chess down the wrong path?
