The Levenhuk LabZZ DM200 LCD microscope is used for the digital observation of samples such as insects, plants, fabrics, electronics or small mechanisms. The device is suitable for use at home, in schools and in after-school clubs, and is designed for children aged 3 to 7. Examination is carried out using the brightfield method within a temperature range of -20 to +70 °C. Observation takes place directly on the integrated screen, without needing to connect to an external display device. The plastic body has a total weight of 1.14kg and the package dimensions are 17 × 21 × 25cm for easy transport and handling on any work surface.

Colour Screen
The main part of the design is a 4.3'' LCD panel. The display transmits a high-brightness, colour, high-contrast image directly from the objective lens. This means the observer doesn't have to strain their eyes with a classic eyepiece and can see the details of the samples. The brightness adjustment helps to adapt the display to the lighting conditions in the room.
Optical and Digital Magnification
The device offers a total magnification range of 17× to 220×, with the optical system itself offering values from 17× to 55×. The glass optics transmit a clear, distortion-free image. Users can easily study very fine structures on the surface of leaves, insects or metal components. The coarse focus has a range of 93mm and helps to precisely adjust the sharpness.
Recording Options
The integrated sensor takes photos at up to 12Mpx resolution and records video in Full HD quality. Recordings are saved to a microSD memory card with a capacity of up to 32GB. Using the included software, you can stream a live image feed directly to a computer monitor via a USB cable. This makes it easy to save data for school projects.
Dual Illumination System
The design includes both upper and lower LED lights with continuous brightness control. This combination helps to examine opaque materials as well as thin transparent sections on slides. The light sources illuminate the 120 × 180mm stage. The illumination and the screen are powered by a built-in battery or a mains adapter.
Wireless Control and Portability
The set includes an infrared remote control for wirelessly taking photos and recording videos. This method of operation prevents unwanted shaking of the instrument's body when the shutter is pressed, helping to maintain high sharpness in the final images. The remote control is powered by a single CR2025 battery. The built-in 1,800mAh battery provides power for 2.5 hours of operation and takes 10 hours to fully charge.
Slide Set
The package contains twelve prepared slides ready for immediate examination under the objective lens. Children can immediately study a bee wing, a goldfish scale or an onion epidermis. The experiment kit makes the first steps in discovering the microworld much easier. The plastic body of the device is lightweight and easy to carry.
