Journey into the night

It is the end of May in Kymlinge. One evening, Allan Fremling, a PE teacher and former sportsman, breaks with his routine and orders a pizza to be delivered. Before the pizza even has a chance to cool down, Fremling is lying dead in his hallway. Two shots to the chest, one to the head. Inspector Borgsen, who happens to live near the victim, is assigned to the investigation. When another murder occurs later – practically right under Borgsen's balcony – it's too much for the inspector, who is suffering from the after-effects of COVID, and he asks Barbarotti and Backman to help him with the investigation. Are the two murders connected? And what if someone in Kymlinge thinks that, under certain circumstances, murder can be a good thing?
