Storage space and drive bays
The front panel is dominated by eight bays for 3.5-inch hard drives, which support hot-swapping for quick replacement. Above these bays are two external 5.25-inch bays where you can easily install optical drives or control panels. The internal layout also provides space for two internal 2.5-inch drives, ensuring the total storage capacity meets even high data archiving demands. The front is completed by two USB ports for quickly connecting peripherals.
Cooling and compatibility of the Inter-Tech IPC 4U-4508 case
A pair of pre-installed 80mm fans on the rear panel ensures effective airflow. The design lets you add two more fans to boost cooling performance when using more powerful components. When selecting a processor cooler, you must respect the maximum cooler height of 115mm, which is standard for a 4U chassis. The internal space accommodates graphics and expansion cards up to 250mm in length.
Power supply and rack dimensions
The system supports the installation of standard ATX PSUs or redundant power supply units, which increase the reliability of continuous operation. The case depth of 530mm provides sufficient room for cable management and handling hardware inside. The rear offers seven slots for expansion cards, while the overall dimensions of 480×530×178mm allow for simple installation into standard 19" cabinets.
