In the shadow of the mountain

LONG BEFORE THE EVENTS OF THE STOLEN TONGUES.

On the Cold Valley Indian Reservation, in the shadow of the silent and ominous Pale Peak, Onwé Lopez is torn between two worlds.

By day he watches his people turn away from their native traditions and beliefs and seek refuge in Christianity. At night, however, he is plagued by terrifying dreams - nightmares of Akánth, a childhood friend who disappeared without a trace decades ago.

Due to an unexpected tragedy, an unknown man arrives in town. It bears witness to death and inexplicable destruction. A ghost begins to roam the dark streets of Autumn Ridge, peering into windows at night and hungering for human souls.

From the caves deep beneath Pale Peak, voices begin to whisper to Onwe. They lure him into the heart of the mountain and promise the return of all those he loved.

In the Shadow of the Mountain is the story of a city where the past and the present painfully collide, and which falls victim to an ancient evil that should never have been awakened.
