The Huawei AP362 WiFi access point is an indoor access point with Wi-Fi 6 support. This dual-band device provides a combined wireless speed. The compact access point with its circular design operates simultaneously on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Wi-Fi 6 connectivity
The device uses the 802.11ax standard and maintains backwards compatibility with older versions of wireless networks. On the 2.4GHz band, it transmits data at speeds of up to 575Mbps. MU-MIMO technology increases transmission efficiency when communicating with several client stations simultaneously. The device uses integrated smart antennas with a 2×2 MIMO configuration for both frequency bands.
Network coverage
This access point reliably covers an area within an optimal radius of 18m from the signal source. The manufacturer recommends connecting 80 active users, while the hardware capacity can handle up to 256 devices simultaneously. The integrated smart antenna optimises the radiation pattern for stable signal propagation. The design allows for wall or ceiling installation in various types of interiors.
Data security
Wireless networks require a high level of protection against unauthorised external access. The device supports the modern WPA3 encryption standard, as well as the older WPA2 and WPA2-Enterprise protocols. The entire system is managed via the cloud for easy remote configuration and network monitoring. Administrators can conveniently change settings without needing to be physically present at the device.
Connectivity and power options
Physical network connection is provided by a single RJ45 Ethernet port supporting 10/100/1000Mbps speeds with auto-sensing detection. It supports power via PoE 802.3af technology or via an external 12V DC power source with a tolerance of +/- 10%. The network Ethernet cable serves for both data transmission and power simultaneously, which simplifies installation on a wall or ceiling without the need for a separate power cable.
