How I was (and wasn't) wrong about politics
In this updated and expanded edition of his legendary bestseller, How I Was (Not) Mistaken in Politics, Miloš Zeman returns with unprecedented openness to take stock of his ten years at Prague Castle. The original text, which captivated over 135000 readers 21 years ago, is now accompanied by an extensive exclusive interview and a powerful introductory chapter, 'A Cannon Shot'. With his typical frankness, irony, and self-deprecation, Zeman analyses his greatest political blunders and successes, his motivation by revenge, his staffing failures, economic diplomacy, relations with world powers, and the current Czech political scene. He also warns against attempts to turn our country into a nation of subjects. This book is not just a memoir, but a provocative reflection by one of the most prominent Czech politicians of modern history – self-confident, uncompromising, and at times brutally honest.
