GIGABYTE AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 INFINITY 16G
GIGABYTE AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 INFINITY 16G graphics card
The GIGABYTE AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card enables image rendering and the processing of complex graphical tasks in PC builds. The card uses a PCIe 5.0 ×16 interface for data transfer and operates with GDDR7 graphics memory, offering a total capacity of 16384MB. This device is built on the Blackwell architecture with a GB203 graphics processor and features 10752 stream processors. The core frequency in boost clock mode reaches 2805MHz, and the memory frequency is 30GHz. The memory bus width is 256 bits, and the total TDP is 293W.
Key features of the GIGABYTE AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card
- GDDR7 memory with a total capacity of 16384MB
- Blackwell graphics chip with a 2805MHz core frequency
- WINDFORCE Hyperburst cooling system with two Hawk fans
- Metal backplate provides sturdy support for the entire body
- One 16-pin connector for power delivery
- Four outputs for connecting monitors
- Protective PCB coating against dust and moisture
WINDFORCE Hyperburst cooling system
The WINDFORCE Hyperburst cooling system uses bidirectional airflow through the backplate, removing obstacles in the airflow path. The design integrates patented Hawk fans, a central Overdrive fan, and composite copper heat pipes. The graphics chip makes direct contact with the vapour chamber and uses a composite metal grease for heat dissipation. This active cooling keeps component temperatures low under heavy loads.
Blackwell architecture
The core uses the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture, contains 10752 stream processors, and utilises fifth-generation Tensor Cores. The card supports NVIDIA DLSS 4.0 technology with dynamic frame generation, which increases image smoothness in supported applications. Fourth-generation Ray Tracing Cores ensure the calculation of lighting effects and shadows. Users gain access to the NVIDIA Studio platform and can leverage the computing power for local AI processing.
Ultra Durable design
The printed circuit board has a protective surface that resists dust, moisture, and corrosion. The manufacturer has used Ultra Durable certified metal chokes, low-ESR solid capacitors, and a 2oz copper PCB layer. The automated manufacturing process eliminates sharp solder joint protrusions on the board's surface. These design elements increase overall mechanical durability and extend the lifespan of the entire device.
Power supply
For stable operation, the card requires additional power via one 16-pin connector, and the manufacturer recommends an 850W power supply. The concealed power connector design helps with routing cables behind the chassis, and a magnetic cover maintains the build's clean look. A power indicator light will alert the user by flashing if there is any anomaly in the power supply. The power phase design provides a stable voltage output under high load.
RGB Halo lighting and GCC software
The RGB Halo light rings around the inner edge of the fans create colourful effects. The GIGABYTE CONTROL CENTER tool is used to manage and synchronise the lighting with other compatible components. The software also offers a user interface for monitoring parameters in real time. Users can adjust the core frequency and fan speeds directly within the operating system.
Video outputs
The card has a PCIe 5.0 ×16 interface for connecting to the motherboard and offers a total of four video outputs. It includes HDMI 2.1b and DisplayPort 2.1b ports for high-resolution image transfer. You can connect up to four monitors simultaneously to expand your workspace. The graphics chip supports DirectX 12 Ultimate for modern games.
