The FSP UPS CHAMP 2K tower Schuko provides a stable power supply for sensitive electronics thanks to its advanced online double-conversion topology. This tower-format UPS offers an apparent power of 2000VA and a real power of 1800W, making it suitable for running demanding equipment. At full load, it supplies energy for 3 minutes, while at half load, the backup time extends to 9 minutes. A wide input voltage range of 120V to 300V contributes to safe operation even on unstable power grids, without needing to frequently switch to batteries. A large LCD on the front panel clearly displays the current operating status, load level and battery capacity. 

Topology and performance

This uninterruptible power supply operates on the principle of 100% online double conversion, which eliminates any time delay when switching to battery power. The standard transfer time is just 4ms, ensuring continuous operation of connected systems. The device stabilises the output AC voltage with an accuracy of +/- 1% and offers an output power factor of 0.9, achieving a high energy density. The integrated input power factor correction and the energy-saving ECO mode help to reduce overall running costs. Power is supplied by four hermetically sealed 12V batteries with a capacity of 9Ah. The charger can restore the batteries to 90% capacity within 4 hours. In battery mode, the supply provides a pure sine wave output, which protects sensitive power supplies from damage. The built-in microprocessor controller constantly monitors the battery status and prevents damage from deep discharge.

Connectivity and protection

The monitoring software enables an automatic safe shutdown of connected operating systems during a prolonged power outage. The UPS is fully compatible with electric generators and allows the charger's power to be expanded up to 6A. The rear panel features a total of 3 Schuko output sockets, which are fully battery-backed and protected against surges. These sockets comply with standards E and F, which are commonly used in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Germany and other European countries. All connected appliances are provided with electromagnetic interference filtering and protection against dangerous voltage spikes in the mains.
