The Fenix HM50R V2.0 is the second generation of the popular rechargeable headlamp with up to 700 lumens of power, a range of 115 meters and a red light. Either a RCR123A Li-ion battery (included) or a disposable CR123A battery (with limited max. output at 130 lumens). The RCR123A battery can be recharged via the USB-C connector directly in the headlamp. The light source is a high-end Cree XP-G3 S4 LED with daylight tint (6000 K). In the control button on the side of the headlamp is also built-in indicator diode, which when pressed shows the battery charge status. The headlamp is also equipped with a battery life extension function. With prolonged use, it gradually reduces power in small increments to achieve longer light duration. The all-metal construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling and is also fully waterproof according to IP68 standard up to a depth of 2 meters underwater. The practicality of the headlamp is enhanced by the ability to remove the light from the head holder and use it as a small pocket flashlight. The Fenix HM50R V2.0 headlamp is the ideal companion for a variety of sporting activities, trips to the outdoors and home and work.

When switched off, the Fenix HM50R V2.0 headlamp switches to the last used white light mode by holding the button for 0.5 seconds. The off headlamp is switched on to red light with a double quick press of the button. The headlamp is switched off by holding the button for 0.5 seconds. When the headlamp is switched on, the short button presses can be used to cyclically switch the power modes in the sequence 30 - 130 - 400 - 700 lumens (when switched on to white light) respectively. red - red flashing (when switched to red light). The flashlight has a memory and always switches on in the last set mode (only for white light).

The Fenix HM50R V2.0 headlamp is equipped with a battery level indicator. After a short press of the button (the headlamp must be switched off), the LED indicator in the button is activated. If the indicator light is green, the battery is more than 80% charged. Green flashing indicates 50-80% capacity. If it is red, it is charged to 20-50%. A red flash indicates that less than 20% of the battery capacity remains. The indication only works correctly with RCR123A / 16340 rechargeable batteries.

To charge, remove the rubber cap of the charging connector and plug the included cable into the flashlight (USB-C connector), plug the other end of the cable into a computer, power bank or USB mains or car adapter (not included). The side button lights up red during charging and turns green when fully charged. After charging the flashlight, reseal the charging connector with the rubber cap. Charging a fully discharged battery takes about 1.5 hours. In an emergency, the flashlight can also be used while charging, but only the lowest white mode and red modes will be available.

If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the Fenix HM50R V2.0 headlamp automatically switches to lower power modes. If the headlamp is already switched to the lowest power mode and the battery is critically low, the indicator in the button will flash red. However, the headlamp will continue to shine until the battery is completely depleted. The low battery warning is calibrated only to the voltage of the rechargeable Li-ion batteries.

Loosen the battery cap of the Fenix HM50R V2.0 headlamp a quarter turn, this will break the electrical contact and the headlamp cannot be switched on. Button can be locked electronically - with the headlamp off, hold the button down for 3 seconds. After locking, the flashlight flashes red. Hold the button again for 3 seconds to unlock.
