Solar Power and Long Battery Life
The EufyCam E40 camera uses SolarPlus 2.0 technology, which provides continuous power without the need for manual recharging. The 0.7W solar panel can keep the camera running even in partial shade or on overcast days. Thanks to the high-capacity battery and power-saving mode, it guarantees several months of operation without being connected to the mains. For extended coverage, an external panel can also be connected via the USB-C port.
Detection, Protection, and Alarm
The built-in PIR sensor, combined with AI algorithms, recognises people, animals, and vehicles, minimising false alarms. When motion is detected, the camera activates a 150lm spotlight and a 105dB siren, which effectively deter intruders. Users can receive instant notifications to the Eufy Security app, which allows for live streaming, playback of recordings, and device management. The system also automatically records incidents of intrusion, disconnection attempts, or camera tampering.
Integration and Data Security
The EufyCam E40 cameras are fully compatible with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant. Recordings are stored locally on the HomeBase 3 unit with 16GB of capacity, with the option to expand with cloud services. Data is secured with AES-128 encryption, which protects both transmission and storage. Two-way audio with noise cancellation allows for direct communication with visitors or deterring intruders in real-time.
