The Epson EB-L890U is a laser projector that combines 3LCD imaging technology with a laser light source to project with a native resolution of 1920×1200 WUXGA. Image quality and technology
The 3LCD imaging technology works with a native resolution of 1920×1200 WUXGA at a 16:10 aspect ratio. The brightness in standard mode is 8000 ANSI lumens, dropping to 5600 ANSI lumens in economy mode. Thanks to the high 5000000:1 contrast ratio, the image is sharp and full of detail. The projection screen size can be adjusted from 50" to 500", covering a wide range of installation scenarios from smaller rooms to large halls.
Laser source and operational efficiency of the Epson EB-L890U projector
The laser light source has a lifespan of 20000 hours in standard mode. Switching to ECO mode extends the lifespan to 30000 hours without maintenance. The cooling noise is 36dB, dropping to 26dB in ECO mode for quieter operation. Power consumption is 450W in standard mode, 388W in normal operating mode, and is reduced to 266W in economy mode. An integrated 10W speaker provides basic sound.
Flexible installation and image adjustment
The projector projects from a short distance with a throw ratio of 1.35–2.20:1. The projection distance ranges from 1.4 metres to 23.8 metres. Manual keystone correction of ±30° in both planes, along with the 1.6× optical zoom, is used for image alignment. The lens allows for a vertical shift of ±50% and a horizontal shift of ±20%. It can be installed on the ceiling, a table, or be freestanding.
Smart features and connectivity options
The projector supports the Crestron XiO platform and OTA firmware updates. For connecting signal sources, there are two HDMI ports with HDCP 2.3 support, HDBaseT for long-distance transmission, and an Ethernet port for network management. The projector integrates WiFi for wireless content sharing from mobile devices, with support for Miracast and Apple AirPlay 2 standards. The equipment is complemented by two USB 2.0-A ports, a service USB-B, an RS-232C interface and a stereo audio output.
