Eaton UPS 9SX 2000VA Rack 2U

Eaton UPS 9SX 2000VA Rack 2U
The Eaton 9SX 2000VA rack-mount backup power supply provides consistent and reliable power protection for critical IT equipment such as servers, data storage, and network devices. It uses online double-conversion technology, which continuously filters the input voltage and delivers a pure sine wave output with zero transfer time to the battery. With a real power of 1800W and an apparent power of 2000VA, it can power even demanding setups. The device is designed for efficient use of space in the data centre and occupies 2U of rack height.
Key features of the EATON 9SX 2000VA Rack 2U UPS
- Real power of 1800W and apparent power of 2000VA
- Eight IEC C13 output sockets
- Designed for 2U rack mounting
- Integrated graphical LCD for easy management
- Communication via USB and RS-232 ports
- Online mode efficiency of 92.3%
- Hot-swappable batteries for replacement without interrupting power
Online topology and power stability
The online double-conversion topology provides a high level of protection against power outages and voltage fluctuations. The input voltage operates in the 200–276V range, with a possible power reduction if it drops to 140V. The output is a pure sine wave, and the output voltage is stabilised to within +/- 2% at a selectable value of 200, 208, 220, 230, or 240V. The efficiency in online mode reaches 92.3%.
Design and operating features of the backup power supply
The rack-mount design allows for installation in standard 19" racks, where it takes up 2U of height. The overall dimensions of the device are 438×86.5×608mm with a weight of 26.5kg. The noise level during normal operation does not exceed 45dB, measured at a distance of one metre. Operating conditions include a temperature range of 0°C to 40°C and a relative humidity of 0–96% without condensation. The backup power supply provides eight IEC C13 output sockets for powering servers, network components and other equipment. It uses a standard IEC C14 connector for power input.
Advanced management and monitoring of the backup power supply
It uses a multilingual graphical LCD for direct control and status checks. The communication interfaces include a USB port and an RS-232 serial port for connecting to a computer or server. The clear graphical LCD displays operating states and simplifies configuration. The interface is complemented by a slot for an optional communication card, such as the Network-MS card, which enables advanced management via a web interface or SNMP protocols. This modularity supports future integration into more complex monitoring systems. Software like Eaton Intelligent Power Manager and Intelligent Power Protector expands the management and automation options for controlled system shutdowns.
