EATON UPS 9E 1000VA Tower

EATON UPS 9E 1000VA Tower
The EATON UPS 9E 1000 VA backup power supply, in a tower design, operates using online double-conversion technology, delivering an apparent power of 1000VA and a real power of 800W. This 1000VA UPS reliably backs up a server or other sensitive IT equipment. With an efficiency of up to 98% in ECO mode, it provides a backup time of 4.5 minutes at full load and 12 minutes at half load. This power supply continuously filters the power and protects your electronics from all mains power anomalies. A clear LCD display and USB and RS232 communication interfaces are available for management and monitoring.

Topology and performance of the EATON UPS 9E 1000 VA Tower backup power supply
The online double-conversion topology permanently isolates connected devices from mains power issues, as it generates its output completely independently of the input. The supply provides an apparent power of 1000VA and a real power of 800W with a 0.8 output power factor. The efficiency in online mode reaches a value of over 94%, while the high efficiency in ECO mode reduces operating costs and heat loss. The backup time at full load is 4.5 minutes, extending to 12 minutes at half load.
Battery and protection
Power is provided by two internal, user-replaceable lead-acid batteries (2× 12V / 9Ah). An automatic battery test regularly checks their condition. Deep-discharge protection extends the life of the batteries and contributes to their reliability. For longer backup times, you can connect external battery modules. The sine wave output with low distortion (max. 3%) is suitable for powering sensitive servers and workstations.
Management and communication options
The integrated LCD display provides an overview of the unit's status, load, and battery capacity. A USB port (HID compatible) and an RS232 serial port are used for connecting to a computer or server. For further expansion, a slot is available for installing optional communication cards, such as for network management (SNMP). Support is included for Eaton Intelligent Power Manager and Protector software, which handles advanced monitoring and automated safe system shutdown. The adjustable output voltage of 220, 230, or 240V extends compatibility in various installations. The power supply operates with an input frequency in the range of 40–70Hz and automatically detects the nominal frequency of 50 or 60Hz.
