Fourteen years ago, 18-year-old Emilia Volf was found lying on the bank of a local pond - naked, with almost no signs of life. She was one of the victims of a serial killer of young girls who was on the rampage in Holice at the time, but she was the only one to survive by a miracle. Although the perpetrator was never caught, the town eventually recovered from the horrific tragedy. Forgotten. But now another girl has gone missing. And Emilie, who joined the police after a traumatic experience, believes it is no coincidence. It's the same man behind everything. Moreover, some inexplicable force keeps drawing her back to the abandoned campsite - to the place where she herself was mysteriously found.

Just like the crimes of old, Emilia's memories of the strange events that accompanied her rescue are slowly resurfacing, and although she doesn't quite believe the local rumours that the local waters are cursed, she doesn't take them lightly. Deep down, she knows that her survival was not due to a lucky coincidence, but to something much, much bigger.
