Dark Flower

New surroundings, new characters and new tools, but the crimes are as old as humanity itself. Detective Sergeant Stilwell from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department finds himself in "exile" on the small, sleepy island of Catalina as a punishment. Instead of a patrol car, he drives a golf cart, and instead of solving murders, he deals with the antics of drunk tourists, petty theft, and other such "trivialities". But everything is about to change. The sea brings signs of a recent crime—a human body—and Detective Stilwell, despite the reluctance of his superiors, begins an investigation that will test not only his skills but also his courage to face the rich and powerful of our world. Part 1 of the Detective Stilwell series.
