High-quality printing and long-lasting photos
The Canon SELPHY QX20 uses a dye-sublimation thermal transfer printing system. The printing mechanism operates at a resolution of 287×287 DPI with three colour inks in yellow, cyan, and magenta. Each colour has 256 shade levels, which corresponds to a 24-bit colour depth. After the three printing passes are complete, a protective coating is applied to the photo. The prints can last for up to 100 years. Creating a photo takes approximately 40 seconds. The technology is designed for printing vibrant, richly coloured images.
Wireless operation and creative possibilities
The printer communicates with compatible iOS and Android devices via Direct Wi-Fi. Printing is controlled through the SELPHY Photo Layout app. The app lets you add stamps, filters, borders, text, collages, frames, and customisable edges. The SELPHY QX20 model supports printing on XS-20L square photo paper measuring 72×85mm, as well as on XC-20L and XC-60L photo paper measuring 54×85mm. Both media types have a self-adhesive back for creative use. The built-in battery lets you print up to 20 sheets on a single charge. Charging is handled by the included USB Type-C power cable.
