The BenQ GV50 portable projector combines DLP imaging technology with a native resolution of 1920 × 1080 Full HD at a 16:9 aspect ratio for sharp visuals. It uses a laser light source with a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours in ECO mode, delivering 500 ANSI lumens and a 100,000:1 contrast ratio. This smart Android projector includes the Google TV operating system and provides direct access to streaming services. Its compact design with a built-in battery makes it easy to carry and place flexibly without needing to find a socket. Automatic keystone correction adjusts the geometry both vertically and horizontally, and also handles rotation. For more precise adjustment, manual correction is available with an extended range of ±40°. The zoom is fixed.

Laser source and quiet operation
The projector uses a laser as its light source, with a lifespan of 20,000 hours in standard mode, extending to 30,000 hours in the power-saving ECO mode. This eliminates the need for frequent lamp replacements. The cooling system operates with low noise levels, reaching 28dBA in normal operation and dropping to 26dBA in ECO mode. The projector can be powered from the mains or its built-in battery, increasing its placement options without being dependent on a power socket.
Design and features
The built-in battery enhances the projector's portability. An integrated 2.1 system provides audio, consisting of two 4W speakers and a separate 10W woofer to boost bass frequencies. The Google TV operating system, built on the Android 11 platform, opens up access to a wide ecosystem of apps. For sharing content from mobile devices, screen mirroring is available via Google Cast, with support for iOS mirroring. To connect external devices, the projector offers an HDMI 2.0b port, a USB-A 2.0 port, and a multi-functional USB-C port that supports video transfer (DisplayPort) and power delivery (PD).

Native resolution vs. maximum resolution
