Laptop batteries with premium cells
AVACOM now offers laptop batteries built with high-capacity cells from PANASONIC, LG, and SONY. At the same size and weight, these batteries provide up to 32% more capacity than the originals. For example, we now offer a six-cell battery with an original capacity of 4400mAh with these new cells, boosting its capacity to 5800mAh. The cells used to assemble these batteries also have a longer lifespan than most cell types used by renowned laptop manufacturers.
Batteries from quality components
The batteries include sophisticated electronics with double-protection security. This part manages the charging of individual cell branches and also protects them from overcharging and undercharging. With batteries containing high-capacity cells, you will noticeably increase your laptop's battery life, so you won't need to travel with a power adapter, even for longer meetings.
How to keep your battery in good condition
The battery is partially charged from the factory, but its capacity and performance are not at 100%. Therefore, to optimally format the battery, we recommend repeating a full charge and discharge cycle at least 3× right from the start. Constant connection to a power source reduces the battery's capacity, so we recommend occasionally unplugging your device from the mains. If you are not using the battery, store it charged in a dry place and check and recharge it approximately every six months.
What harms batteries
One of the most common causes of battery degradation is leaving it completely discharged and unused for a long period. Do not expose the battery to temperatures above 60°C. If the battery is exposed to temperatures below 5°C, only charge it once it has returned to room temperature. Only use the battery in devices for which it is intended. Also, be careful not to expose the battery to a short circuit or higher discharge currents. Protect it from mechanical damage, chemical agents, and moisture.
