Laptop batteries with premium cells
AVACOM now introduces laptop batteries made of high-capacity cells from PANASONIC, LG and SONY. These high-capacity cells also offer a longer lifespan than most battery types used by premium laptop manufacturers.
Batteries from quality components
The batteries feature sophisticated electronics with dual protection. This system manages the charging of individual cell lines and protects them from overcharging and over-discharging. Batteries with high-capacity cells significantly increase your laptop battery life, so you can easily travel to longer meetings without a power adapter.
How to keep the battery in good condition
The battery comes partially charged from the factory, but its capacity and performance have not yet reached 100%. To format the battery optimally, we recommend fully charging and discharging it at least 3× right at the start. Constant connection to a power source reduces battery capacity, so we recommend unplugging your device from the mains from time to time. If you do not use the battery, store it charged in a dry place, check its charge, and recharge it approximately every six months.
What damages batteries
One of the most common causes of battery degradation is leaving it completely discharged and unused for a long time. Do not expose the battery to temperatures higher than 60°C. If the battery is exposed to temperatures below 5°C, recharge it only after it reaches room temperature. Use the battery only in devices for which it is designed. Also, make sure that the battery is not exposed to short circuits or higher discharge currents. Protect it from mechanical damage, chemicals and moisture.
