Asustor Lockerstor 8 Gen3 - AS6808T
Asustor Lockerstor 8 Gen3 - AS6808T
The Asustor Lockerstor 8 Gen3 NAS server acts as centralised network storage for securely storing, managing and backing up company data. This Tower desktop device offers eight drive bays for hard drives and four slots for fast M.2 NVMe drives. It uses an AMD Ryzen V3C14 processor with a frequency of 2.3GHz, which increases to 3.8GHz in Turbo mode. The 16GB ECC DDR5-4800 system memory prevents errors and damage to stored data through automatic, real-time error detection and correction.

High performance with an AMD Ryzen processor
At the heart of the device is an energy-efficient quad-core AMD Ryzen Embedded V3C14 processor, which delivers performance comparable to desktop computers. The processor runs at a base frequency of 2.3GHz and automatically boosts the clock speed up to 3.8GHz when needed. This computing power helps to efficiently transfer, encrypt and organise large volumes of data. Its efficient operation is complemented by advanced cooling with heat pipes and fins to dissipate heat from the processor.
Fast SSD storage
The network storage includes four internal slots for modern M.2 NVMe SSDs with support for the PCIe 4.0 interface. This interface doubles the transfer speed compared to the previous PCIe 3.0 generation and accelerates random read and write operations. The ADM system lets you use these SSDs as a fast cache or as a separate storage volume for instant access to more frequently used files.
Connectivity and USB4 ports
The rear panel features two advanced USB4 ports with transfer speeds of up to 40Gb/s per port. These ports maintain backward compatibility with USB 3.2 standards and allow for fast connection of external storage. There are also three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports with a speed of 10Gb/s. Fast network connectivity is provided by two 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports and two 5-Gigabit Ethernet ports with Wake on LAN and Wake on WAN support.
Security and post-quantum cryptography
The ADM operating system brings integrated support for PQC TLS hybrid encryption, which protects data in transit from future threats from quantum computers. This feature uses the certified Kyber algorithm and is automatically activated within the TLS 1.3 protocol. Data security is further enhanced by a built-in firewall, ClamAV antivirus and ADM Defender network attack protection, complemented by robust AES 256-bit folder encryption.
Advanced backup
The Snapshot Center tool uses the Btrfs file system to create up to 256 volume snapshots at regular five-minute intervals for quick data recovery in case of damage. MyArchive cold backup technology lets you turn hard drives into removable archival media. The Cloud Backup Center and DataSync Center applications integrate backups to Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or Amazon S3 services into one clear interface.
Surveillance system
The network storage also serves as a reliable monitoring system with support for connecting up to 72 IP cameras. As standard, the user gets four free camera licences and an intuitive interface for managing and viewing recordings. The system supports ONVIF S, T and RTSP streaming profiles, which expands compatibility with camera models from different brands. The AiSecure mobile app lets you watch live camera feeds and receive instant notifications on your mobile phone.
