The Asustor Lockerstor 6 NAS storage device is for reliable data backup, file centralisation, and smooth application performance in home and business environments. The device is powered by a quad-core Intel Celeron N5105 processor with a frequency of 2.0GHz, which can increase its clock speed to 2.9GHz in burst mode, delivering 31% more performance compared to the previous generation of Gemini Lake processors. The 8GB DDR4 system memory is expandable up to 16GB for demanding multitasking operations.

Network connection and port aggregation
The device offers two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports, which significantly speed up file transfers compared to standard gigabit networks. With support for SMB Multichannel technology, the Asustor Lockerstor 6 network storage combines the speed of both Ethernet ports to achieve higher read and write throughput. Demanding users can take advantage of the flexible PCIe slot, where an optional 10GbE network card can be installed.
M.2 slots for NVMe SSD cache and storage
This device contains four M.2 NVMe drive slots that accelerate the system using SSD cache or serve as a separate storage space. The PCIe 3.0 interface provides double the performance compared to the older PCIe 2.0 standard. The manufacturer has integrated enhanced cooling for the sensitive SSD components, which helps maintain optimal operating temperatures even under continuous load, without the need for screws during installation.
USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface
On the body of the network storage device are two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, reaching transfer speeds of up to 10Gb/s. This specification enables fast data backup to external drives in half the time compared to the older USB 3.2 Gen 1 standard. Quantum-resistant cryptography
The ADM operating system brings integrated support for hybrid TLS encryption using post-quantum cryptography (PQC). The system automatically activates security using Kyber and X25519 algorithms when connecting via TLS 1.3, without requiring complex configuration. This technology protects stored data from future decryption threats posed by quantum computers.
Backup and ransomware protection
The Snapshot Center application uses the Btrfs file system to create up to 256 snapshots of a single volume at regular five-minute intervals. In the event of a ransomware attack or accidental data deletion, the system can be easily restored to a previous state. Additionally, MyArchive cold backup technology turns hard drives into portable storage media with AES-256 encryption.
