ARCTIC P8 Silent 80mm
The Arctic P8 Silent fan, with an 80mm diameter, cools your computer components efficiently and with an emphasis on quiet operation. Its design focuses on producing high static pressure, which improves airflow through the dense fins of heat sinks and radiators with increased resistance. The fan runs at a fixed speed of 1600rpm and is powered by a standard 3-pin connector. Thanks to its fluid dynamic bearings and a motor developed in Germany, it achieves a low noise level of 18.5dB, while its reliability is backed by a six-year manufacturer warranty.
Key features of the Arctic P8 Silent PC fan
- Designed for standard positions in computer cases
- Design focused on high static pressure of 0.62mmH₂O
- Fixed speed of 1600rpm
- Fluid dynamic bearings (FDB) ensure quiet operation
- Low operating noise level not exceeding 18.5dB
- Powered by a 3-pin connector
- Six-year manufacturer warranty
High static pressure of the Arctic P8 Silent fan
During the fan's development, the emphasis was placed on a focused stream of air and high static pressure. This allows the fan to cool components effectively, even when installed on dense cooler fins and radiators. The blades create a focused airflow with a static pressure of 0.62mmH₂O at an airflow of 15.6 CFM. The fan can be installed in either direction, to exhaust warm air from the case or to draw cool air in.
Fluid dynamic bearings
The fan's operation relies on fluid dynamic bearings (FDB). These are based on a special combination of alloy and lubricant, developed in Germany, which actively reduces friction during rotation. This results in less heat generation and, at the same time, reduces the operating noise of the bearing itself. The outcome is higher operational efficiency and a longer component lifespan. The reliability of this solution is confirmed by the manufacturer's long-term warranty.
Quiet motor of the Arctic P8 Silent fan
The source of the fan's low noise level is its motor, which was developed in Germany and limits friction and vibration to a minimum. The motor is often the main source of unwanted noise in low-speed fans. In combination with the fluid dynamic bearings, the entire system operates with a total noise level of only 18.5dB. The motor produces almost inaudible operating sounds and contributes to the quiet running of the entire build. Its reliability has been verified through long-term stress tests in various, often adverse, conditions.
