APC Smart-UPS RT 15kVA RM 230V for Stand

APC Smart-UPS RT 15kVA RM 230V for Stand
The APC Smart-UPS RT 15kVA backup power supply is a reliable power protection solution for data centres and server rooms. This online rackmount UPS uses online double-conversion topology, which continuously supplies a pure sine wave and isolates sensitive electronics from mains power anomalies. With an apparent power of 15000VA and a real power of 12000W, it can power even demanding systems. At half load, it powers connected devices for 22 minutes and 18 seconds, and you can extend this time with external battery modules. The integrated network card and 19" rackmount design support its deployment as a reliable backup power supply for servers and critical IT infrastructure.
Key features of the APC Smart-UPS RT 15kVA RM 230V rackmount backup power supply
- Online double-conversion topology ensures a continuous supply of clean power
- Backup time can be extended with external battery modules
- Hot-swappable, user-replaceable batteries
- Integrated static and automatic bypass maintains power during maintenance
- Emergency Power Off (EPO) function for immediate shutdown in crisis situations
- Pre-installed network card for advanced remote management and monitoring
- Rackmount design for installation in a 19" rack
Performance and efficiency
The backup power supply uses online double-conversion topology, which continuously regenerates the input voltage and delivers a pure sine wave output with zero transfer time to battery power. It operates at 95.0% efficiency at full load and 95.1% at half load. With an apparent power of 15000VA, it delivers a real power of 12000W, which is enough to power critical server infrastructure. The backup time at full load is 8 minutes and 17 seconds, extending to 22 minutes and 18 seconds at half load.
Battery and protection features
The body of the power supply contains four internal, user-replaceable battery modules (APCRBC140) based on lead-acid batteries. They require 2.5 hours to fully charge. For longer operation without mains power, you can connect external battery packs to significantly extend the total backup time. The protection of connected electronics is supported by continuous multi-pole noise filtering, a built-in static and automatic bypass, and an Emergency Power Off (EPO) function.
Management and monitoring options
Communication and management are handled by an RS-232 serial port and a pre-installed network management card with an Ethernet port. This solution supports remote monitoring and configuration of the power supply via a web interface or SNMP protocol. The included software on CD supports status monitoring and configuration of automatic safe shutdown for connected servers and systems.
Connectivity and sockets
The input power is connected via a terminal block that supports both single-phase (H+N+E) and three-phase (3PH+N+G) wiring. For powering connected appliances, it offers eight IEC 60320 C19 output sockets and two IEC Jumper connectors.
