APC Back-UPS PRO BR-1600VA

APC Back-UPS PRO BR-1600VA
The APC Back-UPS PRO BR-1600VA backup power supply uses line-interactive topology to deliver a stable power supply. This device actively protects connected electronics, such as high-performance computer builds, network components, and gaming consoles, from damage caused by power fluctuations. The automatic voltage regulation (AVR) feature corrects both undervoltage and overvoltage without switching to battery power. Comprehensive APC surge protection safeguards your valuable data and hardware from power spikes. With a backup time of up to 13.5 minutes at half load, you get plenty of time to safely save your work and shut down systems correctly during a complete power outage. The clear LCD display and USB charging ports add to the user-friendly experience.
Key features of the APC Back-UPS PRO BR-1600VA backup power supply
- Stable power supply with line-interactive topology and automatic voltage regulation (AVR)
- Comprehensive surge protection and data line noise filtering (RJ-45, RJ-11) to protect connected devices and data
- 8× IEC C13 output sockets
- Charge mobile devices via USB charging ports (Type-A + C)
- LCD display for easy monitoring of key operational statuses
- Integrated management software for automated and safe computer shutdown
Performance and power stability
The backup power supply uses line-interactive topology with an automatic voltage regulation (AVR) function. This technology compensates for voltage fluctuations without needing to switch to battery power, thus saving battery capacity for actual outages. AVR stabilises the output voltage, extending its service life. The supply provides sufficient power for connected devices. The backup time allows you to safely finish your work and shut down your systems.
Battery and protection features
At the heart of the unit is a reliable lead-acid battery. The user-replaceable battery extends the overall life of the device and simplifies its maintenance. Integrated protection circuits prevent deep discharge of the battery. The supply protects connected electronics with surge protection and filters interference on the data line (RJ-45) and telephone line (RJ-11).
Management and monitoring
A USB interface is used for management and status monitoring, communicating with APC's software for automated and safe computer shutdown. The clear LCD display shows all key operational statuses, including load, battery capacity and current mode. In addition to the management port, the supply also includes USB-A and USB-C charging ports for powering mobile phones or tablets.
Connectivity and sockets
An IEC C14 input connector is used to connect to the mains. For powering appliances, it offers eight IEC C13 output sockets. The socket layout allows you to prioritise backup for key devices, as six of them provide full battery backup with surge protection, while the remaining two have surge protection only. Connectivity is complemented by RJ-45 and RJ-11 ports for protecting network and telephone connections.
