Built on the Zen 3 architecture, the AMD Ryzen 5 5600XT processor boosts the computing power of PC builds designed for gaming and demanding applications. It uses 6 cores and 12 threads that run at a base frequency of 3.7GHz. Thanks to Precision Boost 2 technology and the high-performance Zen 3 architecture, the frequency automatically increases up to 4.7GHz under load, which speeds up system response. The Vermeer model has 6 cores and requires a motherboard with an AM4 socket.
The Zen 3 architecture delivers an increase in instructions per clock (IPC) compared to older generations. This allows the AMD Ryzen 5 5600XT processor to efficiently handle both gaming and work tasks. Its computations rely on six cores and twelve compute threads, which, along with 32MB of L3 cache and 3MB of L2 cache, reduce latency during data processing and contribute to smooth operation.
The processor has an unlocked multiplier for manually increasing the clock frequency. This lets experienced users tune their build's performance beyond factory settings. Despite its power, the processor maintains low operating demands, with a thermal design power (TDP) of 65W. This reduces the demands on both the cooling system and the power supply for the entire build.
The CPU exchanges data with other system components via a high-speed interface. Support for the PCIe 4.0 bus offers full transfer speeds for high-performance graphics cards and NVMe SSDs. The processor works with DDR4 RAM with frequencies up to 3200MT/s. The package also includes an AMD Wraith Stealth cooler, which provides basic heat dissipation.
