Wi-Fi 6 performance and high throughput
The access point operates on the 802.11ax standard, broadcasting on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands. The total transfer speed reaches 1775Mbps, with 1201Mbps on the 5GHz band and 574Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. For a stable connection with a large number of devices, it combines OFDMA and MU-MIMO technologies, which optimise data streams and reduce latency. 1024-QAM technology increases data throughput and contributes to smoother operation in high-density client environments.
Advanced coverage with Omada Mesh on the TP-Link EAP625-Outdoor HD Omada Wi-Fi access point
The device provides coverage for large outdoor areas. Two external detachable antennas, with 3dBi gain for the 2.4GHz band and 5dBi for the 5GHz band, along with a transmission power of up to 30dBm, ensure even distant locations are covered by the signal. Omada Mesh technology wirelessly connects individual access points, simplifying network expansion without the need to lay additional cables. The system supports over 1000 clients simultaneously, and the Seamless Roaming feature switches clients between access points without interrupting the connection.
Network management and security
The device operates in access point mode, as a node in a Wi-Fi Mesh network, or as a signal repeater. Complete network setup and supervision is offered through centralised management via the Omada SDN cloud platform, which provides a web interface and the Omada mobile app for remote access. The wireless network is protected by WPA-Personal/Enterprise, WPA2-Personal/Enterprise, and WPA3-Personal/Enterprise encryption protocols. The implementation of the WPA3 standard brings more robust data encryption and protection against attacks. Power is supplied via a single cable thanks to support for both 802.3at PoE+ and passive PoE (48V). A Gigabit Ethernet port provides the data connection to the network, and the total power consumption does not exceed 12.5W. The IP67-certified design provides complete protection against dust and water ingress, making the device resistant to adverse weather conditions. The included mounting kit facilitates installation on a pole or wall.
