ONDILO ICO Calibration Kit

ONDILO ICO Calibration Kit
The ONDILO ICO sensor measures pool and hot tub water parameters to maintain optimum water quality. Regular calibration and correct storage maintain high measurement accuracy and extend the life of the entire system. The kit is fully compatible with ICO Pool and ICO Spa devices. Regular care of the blue pH sensor and the orange or yellow ORP sensor prevents gradual drift in measured values, which could lead to incorrect pool chemical dosing and over- or under-dosing of the pool water. The calibration kit contains all the necessary tools for pH and ORP probe maintenance. Inside the package, you will find four single-use 20ml sachets of solutions and one transparent calibration stand. Specifically, these are pH 4, pH 7, and ORP 470mV solutions, and a KCl storage solution, along with a user guide for sensor calibration and replacement.
Key features of the ONDILO ICO calibration kit
- Calibration kit containing four single-use 20ml solutions
- Transparent stand for holding the device securely during calibration
- Potassium chloride storage solution to keep sensitive electrodes at optimum humidity
- Mobile app to guide you through the setup process step by step
- Full compatibility with ICO Pool and ICO Spa devices
- Precisely defined solution values of pH 4, pH 7, and ORP 470mV
Importance of regular calibration
Freshly purchased ONDILO ICO probes do not require immediate calibration out of the box, as the manufacturer sends them pre-calibrated. With regular use, calibrate at the start of each season, or once every six months for year-round operation without winterisation. If you notice any measurement deviations, carry out the process immediately. When replacing an old probe with a new one, calibration is not necessary – simply reset the sensor directly in the mobile app.
Step-by-step calibration procedure
The mobile app guides you through the entire process step by step. Before starting, connect the device via Bluetooth and rinse all probes thoroughly. First, place the device in the calibration stand with the pH 4 solution, then repeat the process with the pH 7 and ORP solutions. Dry the probes carefully with a soft cloth after each step.
Accurate measurements with the ONDILO ICO sensor
For excellent results, perform the entire process in a room with an ambient temperature of around 25 °C and place the device near your smartphone. The ORP solution is acidic and will affect pH readings if used in the wrong order. You must rinse the probes and the stand thoroughly with water and dry them with a soft cloth between each step. We recommend keeping the pH 4 and pH 7 solutions in separate containers until the app successfully confirms calibration.
Storage in KCl solution and calibration results
Reference electrodes and glass probe bulbs require constant moisture to maintain functionality. For this purpose, use the potassium chloride storage solution, storing the probes with the sponges under the protective black caps. Only use the original accessories supplied in the package for correct storage. Once the entire process is complete, the mobile app displays a confirmation showing the exact date and measured values. You can view the displayed values in the settings section of your ONDILO ICO sensor at any time. The history stores the last calibration values for both pH and ORP redox potential. This information helps verify measurement accuracy in the future.
