Noctua NH-D9L chromax. black
Noctua NH-D9L chromax. black
The Noctua NH-D9L chromax.black is a compact dual-tower cooler designed for efficient and quiet processor cooling, with a total height of 110mm. Its 95×95mm footprint ensures full compatibility with both RAM and PCIe slots, while also enabling optimal airflow in small mini-ITX or SFF cases. It includes an NF-A9 fan with PWM support and the option to add another unit for increased cooling performance. The Noctua NH-D9L chromax.black combines a low installation height, wide compatibility and stable performance, making it a great fit for powerful, space-constrained builds.
Key features of the Noctua NH-D9L chromax.black CPU cooler
- Compact dual-tower design with a low installation height
- All-black design unifies all visible components
- Optimised airflow thanks to the tower's orientation parallel to the motherboard
- Proven cooling efficiency confirmed by a wide range of expert reviews
- Full compatibility with RAM and PCIe slots due to its 95×95mm footprint
- Professional SecuFirm2™ mounting system supports current platforms
- Option to add a second fan for increased cooling headroom
All-black design
The chromax.black version features a uniform dark finish that includes the cooler's surface, the fan with anti-vibration elements, and the mounting components. This allows it to fit into the design of all-black builds and combine easily with other colour elements.
Efficient airflow in narrow cases
The tower design, oriented parallel to the motherboard, promotes smooth airflow between the front and rear case fans. This principle delivers higher cooling efficiency compared to standard low-profile coolers that blow air towards the motherboard.
Stable mounting across platforms
SecuFirm2™ ensures stable mounting across all major current Intel and AMD platforms. The package also includes asymmetrical mounting bars for AM5, which allow the cooler to be offset by 7mm towards the south side of the socket to improve contact over the processor's active area.
Advanced features for effective cooling
The NF-A9 fan uses AAO aerodynamic optimisations and can be supplemented with a second fan, while the Low-Noise Adaptor allows you to reduce the maximum speed for quieter operation. The included NT-H1 thermal compound completes the package, a proven solution with low thermal resistance.
