Power system and cooling for maximum stability
The direct 8+2+1 phase power system uses 80A Smart Power Stage components to ensure a stable power delivery even for the most powerful AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors. The extended heatsink with a larger surface area for heat dissipation works with high-quality MOSFET thermal pads and additional choke pads, allowing all cores to run at full load without the risk of overheating. A ten-layer server-grade printed circuit board with thickened 2oz copper provides higher performance and long-term system stability, while reinforcement on the back helps to cool the MOSFET modules and keep them at lower temperatures.
Memory support with SMT technology
The advanced surface-mount technology (SMT) process reduces the defect rate in solder joints and limits electromagnetic interference, which, combined with Memory Boost technology, delivers a clean and stable high-frequency signal to the DDR5 memory. Preset EXPO profiles automatically overclock compatible memory modules to achieve optimal speed and stability, with MSI performing thorough testing on the most popular memory brands under extreme conditions. Two DDR5 slots support frequencies up to 6600MHz in overclocked mode and provide sufficient capacity for demanding applications and modern games.
Expansion options and storage
The PCIe 4.0 x16 slot with Lightning Gen 4 technology offers a bandwidth of up to 64GB/s, which is double that of the previous generation. It is reinforced with a Steel Armor design featuring additional soldering points, which increases its durability when using heavy graphics cards and protects against electromagnetic interference. Two M.2 slots with PCIe 4.0 support are equipped with Shield Frozr technology featuring a dual-ball-bearing fan. This cooling keeps SSDs at optimal temperatures, prevents thermal throttling, and ensures consistently high performance.
