The Hikvision DS-7732NI-M4 network recorder records video from connected security cameras and saves it to hard drives for later analysis. This Hikvision network recorder supports the simultaneous connection of up to 32 high-resolution IP cameras. The device can record video at up to 32MP, and when a special ultra HD mode is activated, it can process up to 8 channels at 32MP or 24MP. This gives users a detailed overview of the monitored area. The recorder meets the requirements for integration into complex surveillance systems in both businesses and homes. The back of the unit features 16 alarm inputs and 9 outputs for connecting external sensors and sirens. Integrated motion detection triggers an alarm when the defined area is breached, activating recording or sending notifications. The system supports ONVIF and RTSP network protocols for compatibility with cameras from various manufacturers. It can be managed via a web interface or a mobile app using the P2P cloud service and PTZ protocol.
This IP recorder processes an incoming data stream of up to 320Mb/s for smooth data transfer from the cameras. The outgoing data stream reaches up to 400Mb/s for stable remote monitoring. The device's decoding capacity supports smooth playback of two channels at 32MP along with two channels at 8MP at a frame rate of 30fps. Alternatively, the system can decode up to 40 channels in 1080p at 30fps.
The device offers two independent HDMI outputs and one VGA output. The first HDMI interface provides an 8K image at 30Hz or a 4K image at 60Hz. The second HDMI output operates independently with 4K resolution at 60Hz. If you activate 8K resolution on the first output, the resolution of the second output drops to 1080p. An analogue CVBS video output with a BNC connector and one RCA audio output are also available.
Four internal SATA interfaces for hard drives are used for storing recorded footage. Each bay can accommodate one hard drive up to 16TB in size. This configuration creates a total storage capacity of 64TB for long-term data retention. An external drive can also be connected to the recorder via a dedicated eSATA port on the rear of the chassis. This allows users to archive large volumes of data without needing to frequently delete older video recordings.
This 32-channel NVR uses modern H.265+, H.265, H.264+, and H.264 video compression formats. These advanced encoding standards significantly reduce the demands on hard drive capacity while also lightening the load on the transmission network. The recorder supports dual-stream recording. This helps with smooth remote viewing on mobile devices with slower internet speeds. Audio is recorded using G.711, G.722, or AAC compression standards.
Two gigabit RJ-45 network interfaces with speeds of 10/100/1000Mb/s are used for connecting to the local network. The front panel features two USB 2.0 ports for connecting a mouse or a backup flash drive. The rear panel then offers one high-speed USB 3.0 port, two RS-485 ports, and one RS-232 port. These interfaces are used for controlling PTZ cameras or integrating other security system components.
