The HARTMANN Veroval duo control arm blood pressure monitor lets you measure your blood pressure in the comfort of your own home, but with the accuracy of a doctor's reading. It uses the patented Duo Sensor method, which combines auscultatory and oscillometric methods. This means you get accurate results even if you suffer from cardiac arrhythmia. The gift set includes two sizes of arm cuff, making measurement extremely comfortable. You can also share the blood pressure monitor with your partner, as it has an internal memory that stores up to 200 measurements.
The blood pressure monitor takes into account the latest scientific findings and automatically uses the highly accurate three-phase measurement method, which ensures the most reliable result. The Secure fit cuff, which you'll find with HARTMANN Veroval blood pressure monitors, is very easy to put on thanks to the patented Pull-up system. Its ergonomic shape also prevents the cuff from twisting sideways and automatically leaves a 2cm space from the crook of the elbow. Then you just need to press the measurement button and watch the icons on the display. The most important icons are the cuff fit indicator and the rest indicator. Then the Comfort Air technology comes into play, which estimates your approximate systolic pressure at the beginning of the measurement and inflates the cuff only to the necessary level, so it doesn't squeeze you unnecessarily and cause discomfort during measurement. The first time you use it, the cuff inflates to 190 mmHg; for subsequent uses, it adjusts based on the previous results. Depending on the device type, you can choose the intelligent blood pressure monitor cuff in multiple sizes or opt for a universal cuff.
The auscultatory (or Korotkoff) method involves listening for what are known as Korotkoff sounds, which a doctor normally listens for with a stethoscope. When the blood pressure cuff inflates, it compresses the artery in the arm, creating an artificial obstruction to blood flow. The pressure in the cuff then slowly decreases until blood starts to flow through the artery again, which is manifested by audible heart sounds in the stethoscope. Once the pressure on the arm drops enough that the artery is no longer compressed and normal blood flow is restored, the sounds cease to be audible. The pressure at the first audible sound corresponds to the systolic pressure value (SYS), and the pressure at the last audible sound corresponds to the diastolic pressure value (DIA). This is therefore the most accurate method of measuring blood pressure, even in cases of cardiac arrhythmia. The auscultatory method is used by mercury sphygmomanometers, for example, and by the HARTMANN Veroval Duo control blood pressure monitor.
Thanks to its wide range of functions, the Verovalmedi.connect software, which you can download to your computer for free, provides a unique overview of your measured values. You can quickly and easily transfer your results to your computer using the included USB cable or via Bluetooth, analyse them, and automatically create clear graphs. With just a few clicks, you can print all the results or email them to your doctor.
