Harman/Kardon FIT96M

Harman/Kardon FIT96M
The Harman/Kardon FIT96M speakers are a two-way component system designed for in-car installation. They combine a woofer with a patented Plus One fibreglass cone and a textile dome tweeter. This lets you enjoy precise low-frequency reproduction and clean highs up to 40kHz. An external crossover is included, which allows you to optimise the sound according to the installation location and for future expansion with a mid-range speaker.

Plus One cone for more powerful bass
The woofer features a patented Plus One fibreglass cone. The technology (US patent no. 7,548,631) provides a larger overall surface area compared to conventional speakers of the same size. Thanks to its lower weight and larger area, the system achieves higher input sensitivity and more pronounced low-frequency reproduction.
Clean highs with flexible adjustment
High-frequency reproduction is handled by an edge-driven, textile dome tweeter. Its oversized voice coil design covers a range up to 40kHz without unwanted compression or harshness. The Uni-Pivot design allows the tweeter to be rotated up to 270° even after it has been installed. This means you can direct the sound precisely according to your preferences and the acoustic properties of your vehicle's interior.
Crossover
The system includes a slim crossover that divides the signal between the woofer and the tweeter. It contains a switch for tweeter attenuation (0dB / -3dB) to optimise sound linearity for the specific mounting location. Additionally, the crossover offers a switch to three-way mode, which lets you easily expand the system with an optional 3.5-inch mid-range speaker in the future.
